How do I write my own program that collects data on what search terms led to my webpage?
Q. For example. If someone searches for "banana trees" in google, and they click on one of the search results that leads to my website on bananas, how can I capture the fact that "banana trees" was the keywords that led to my site? bow4bass has the right idea. Any other links or recommended sites to visit about this? Also, is this the only way to do it?

A. Take a look at my other post:) All the submissions do not work... The only way to allow those keywords to be placed on the engines is to allow your website to be online for a period of time. Google works on pagerank, the more the links to your website the popular it is. You have to somehow let google / yahoo/ msn know that your website is live... To do so is by submission to their database. Goto each website and see the submite website link there. What that does is it allows you to have a chance to let google take a look or anyother webengine take a look at your page for a small period of time. Be aware that your website should meet its needs. This is called Search Engine Optimization. For instance Google is looking for: 1- Links -… [cont.]
