Any first responders out there? What would you do for a concussion in the wilderness?
Q. and how would you check for concussion: steps you would take, signs you would look for etc.

A. There are a few things you want to look for. First of all, did they have a loss of consciousness. Second, take a look at their pupils, are they reactive to light? Are they equal? Finally, talk to the person. Ask them if they remember what happened, ask them who they are, where they are, ask a few questions to establish that they are alert and oriented. Care is going to depend on your location in the wilderness. If you are in a mobile phone accessible area and on trails, call for an ambulance. Stay with the person and keep talking to them to try and keep them alert and oriented.
